Yesterday ETU-MB¡¯s International Secretary joined in solidarity the rally for supporting the struggle of the squatters in Sangdo-dong. (Please don¡¯t ask why the International¡¦) Around 100 people, mainly elderly and most of them really poor, participated on the rally, before declared as Cultural Festival. But actually it was a clear protest rally – just one ¡°mime¡± was performed (but it was nice and funny to see how elderly ladies and men tried to copy student¡¯s style of struggle dances). But mainly the atmosphere was really characterized from anger and rage about capitalists and their accomplice, the municipality¡¯s government, treat people, especial if they¡¯re poor and allegedly helpless. But especially this example here shows, that not all poor are helpless - neither the residents in the occupied house, nor their supporters, many of the organized street vendors, but also just people from the neighborhood. And it seems that things there are in development, because just around two weeks ago members of ¡°struggle and rice¡± after a solidarity visit in the occupied house, that the residents would have only few supporters. But on yesterday¡¯s rally you could count around hundred supporters, under them only few student activists. Myeongdong Sit-in Struggle Collective will, at any rate, continue to support this struggle! SUPPORT THEM TOO!
LET¡¯S FIGHT TOGETHER FOR A WORLD WITHOUT EXPOITATION AND OPPRESSION! ÅõÀï!
