MSSC STRUGGLE REPORT OF THE LAST DAYS

Last Sunday (April 11, we had a rally and struggle demonstration in Suwon. Here we saw our weakness very ¡°well¡±. Only few migrant workers except us and many Korean supporters joined the event. The main problem for us: many migrant workers are totally scared to participate on our struggle. So it means that a part of government¡¯s plan is successful. We only can get a breakthrough if we find a way for stronger organizing our comrades, otherwise we will sit in Myeong-dong until our hair will be gray.
Monday was more a day for relaxing - just we enjoyed the first spring sun.
On Tuesday one representative joined the rally against the visit of US vice president Cheney, planned for Thursday. The demonstrators, around 100 mainly DLP (¹ÎÁֳ뵿´ç) and All Together (´ÙÇÔ²¨), called in speeches and on pickets Cheney a war criminal and of course they demanded the stop of the South Korean support for the ongoing aggression in Iraq. ¡°It¡¯s clear that Roh¡¯s decision to send the troops to Iraq means accessory to mass murder, so in fact Roh, the members of Uri-dang, Han-nara-dang and Minju-dang (Frank Zappa, long years ago described the different between Democratic and Republican Party in the UD as the different between hot and cold shit. The same here between Uri, Ha-nara and Minju-dang!) are also guilty for war crimes¡±, a protester said. On this event you also could see the leader Peoples Solidarity, PS, (¹ÎÁß¿¬´ë), a public figure, active in the anti-war and anti-USFK movement.
In Tuesday evening on our struggle site the impeachment opponents held their daily rally short after finishing our day closing struggle rally. Actually this rally is an Uri-dang supporting event. And guess who participated!? Yeah the PS leader. Maybe he is a little confused, because maybe he was on the wrong event. How it goes that in noon you struggle against the government and just hours later you defend the same you fought hours ago against???
Ha, by the way yesterday with a long ¡°culture festival¡± ¡°Roh Moo-hyun supporting group¡± ended their sit-in struggle (more than 120 persons participated and we were able to distribute our leaflet a last time), but promised now to fight against government¡¯s plan to send combat troops to Iraq. Also possibly a contradiction: at first to defend the government and then to fight against the same?! Maybe just we cannot understand?!

Here some impressions of the last days:
