yesterday's vicious attack left us all with a feeling of extreme sadness at the loss of 2 of our comrades. we felt demoralised and trapped. but by the end of the evening, spirits were soaring once again:
it is clear now that the korean government wants to destroy the ETU-MB and destroy it fast. the ETU-MB is in deep danger.
shocked and outraged by the brutality of yesterday's attack, loyal supporters of the ETU-MB gathered at myong-dong last night and pledged their renewed support and solidarity. and most notably, the JCMK (the largest NGO for migrant workers)- who have disagreed with the ETU-MB in the past and who, until last night, were not supporters, pledged their support. this is a historical moment! perhaps for the first time, migrant groups are unified in their struggle!
today's rally is to protest against the vicious attack on the ETU-MB as well as the arrests of ETU-MB members.
