Dear Minister Kang Kum-sil,
I have recently seen footage of events surrounding a demonstration by the Equality Trade Union - Migrants Branch out front of the Immigration Office in Mok-dong on Dec. 31. I am disgusted at the unprofessional conduct of YOUR immigration officers - they are more like thugs than respectable members of the civic service. YOU, the ROH MOO-HYUN ADMINISTRATION and SOUTH KOREAN as a whole should be more than ashamed by their behaviour under YOUR authority. It is no wonder South Korea still gains little respect, let alone investment, from abroad when members of the civic service and police force act the way they do.
Stop the deportations!
Free the detained!
Legalize all migrant workers!
Abolish the ITS and EPS
Establish a 5-year WPS!
Stop trampling the human rights of foreign workers!
