At first bad news: yesterday we got the information that Jamal, like Bidu, still is in detention. It is true our source promised us that they will be released today, but we only will believe it after we get a phone call from comrades, telling us that they are free.
After our battle with immigration police in Mokdong on New Year’s Eve we participated on the rally of the striking construction workers, sharing our struggle area on Myeongdong Cathedral’s compound.
In the evening we joined the anti-war rally near Gwanghwamun. After this we made some propaganda on the totally over crowded Millennium Plaza opposite of Boshin-gak. It was more a thankless duty, because the people gathered there were not interested, not really.
On New Year we started a short journey to the East Sea: MT in Naksan, near Yangyang. Really beautiful area – in the back we had Seorak-san and in the front the ocean, and even it was only a two days trip, it was restful! In the night we’d a nice party and some fun during the performances of our comrades.
Because of ongoing imprisonment of Bidu and Jamal we couldn’t enjoy full, because we really worried about their future.
Returning back to Seoul – we had to pass very impressive Seorak-san - on the next day, we found our camp how we left it.
On yesterday’s night rally, more than 150 people joined, members of Socialist Party – before they cooked for us the supper – performed some “mimes” and presented some songs. Da-hamkke (All Together), again, handed over some donation. Thanks a lot, dear comrades!
Comrades from Daegu – like Sungseo Industrial Complex Trade Union (STU), Sewontech Union – visited us and joined our rally.
Today we will have our rally in Uijeongbu and of course again we’ll have the opportunity to get in close contact with “Our Solidarity Team”. The rally will start at 2 pm in front of Uijeongbu station.
