MSSC struggle report of the last days
Before yesterday some of our Korean comrades, members of the MSSC, some supporters and the writer of this lines joined a rally, organized by several (Christian) religious groups and the Ansan migrant shelter, in front of Mokdong Immigration Office (see pict 1+2). We did the mistake not to come there with all our comrades – because of the presence of all the religious leaders it was very safe there. But because of our absence the atmosphere on the rally was more calm and not so powerful as on our events. Several priests and other representatives went in the Immigration Office and handed over a protest petition against the ongoing massive crackdown. All together around 50 people joined the rally.
We already reported that we had on the edge of last Sunday’s rally in front of Seoul Stn many discussions, mainly with Korean activists. One result of this was a invitation for yesterday to hold a speech during a anti-war meeting in Ehwa Women Univ, organized by comrades of All Together (다함께). Around 20 students joined it and one of our Bangladeshi activists presented our opinion about the anti-war struggle here and of course he introduced our current struggle against the government’s policy of man-hunt and mass deportation to the audience (see pict 3+4). But even one comrade from All together prepared and hold a emotional (you could see the fire in her eyes) speech about the necessity to participate in the movement against war – especially the 3.20 rally - and government’s plans to dispatch more troops to Iraq, no discussion came about.
