MSSC struggle report of the last days

First of all: before yesterday KCTU made the first official statement to support our struggle in English language and published on the main (English) home page, here you can read. So, last night and day the writer of this lines was quite busy to send it all over the world.
Before yesterday K.B. and Gupta gave up their hunger strike. Their health condition still is really bad, so since several days they had to stay in hospital (see pict 5, 6). To be not the ¡°last hero¡±, yesterday Samar gave up his hs. And their supporters in MSSC gave up too. What was the main reason to go on hs? First of all to prevent a immediate deportation, secondly to protest against the imprisonment at last but not least to strengthen the unity and solidarity between us and the supporting comrades. So we were able to show the ¡°authorities¡± our power and especially our talent to organize migrant workers even behind bars (remember the solidarity hs in Hwaseong!).
Before yesterday sit-in striking construction workers celebrated the 100th day (pict 2) of their struggle and we celebrated it with a long and powerful rally on our struggle site. After this we celebrated the birthday of one member of Struggle and Rice (see pict 3)
Yesterday at noon we had a rally to celebrate the finishing of hs (pict 4) and after supper human right Sarang-bang activists arranged our night rally. At first they showed two documentary movies. The first ¡°UPROOTED: Refugees of the Global Economy¡± about the connection of WMF¡¯s and WB¡¯s activities and worldwide migrant streams. The other one: ¡°Which is illegal?¡±, a very impressive movie about our struggle, from the beginning of the occupation of Myeong-dong Cathedral¡¯s compound until the incedent February 17 in Mokdong, where imnmigration officers and riot cops were hunting us and captured Gupta. A really remarkable movie! After the show Sarang-bang activists had a kind of entertainment program for us.
Yesterday we got a phone call from a journalist of Korea Times and he asked about our reaction that the government could make a connection between our struggle and ¡°international terrorism¡±. At first the comrade who took the call was a little confused but seconds later he said that if the government will make only a small step in that direction immediately we will fight back by mobilizing the international public. If they really would try to make a connection then our ¡°suicide operation¡± – we call high risky demonstrations, like in Mokdong – will get a complete other dimension! But actually it is not funny, not at all!
Ha, and unfortunaly before yesterday the writer of this lines went (before construction workers rally) to Gwanghwamun to see what is going on there. In front of Donghwa building several hundred people gathered to protest Roh¡¯s impeachment (pict 1). On one hand it was nice to see still how powerful and creative the people are, but on the other hand it was very sad to see how the people invest their power and creativity for a wrong issue. Just they are used by a part of the ruling class and they don¡¯t notice it. Really pity!
But on the other side maybe more and more people notice that this is not their buissines and more and more will stay away. As we already said, there is only one way to get rid of this corrupt politicians: consistent and strong struggle against the system!
