MSSC struggle report (04-03-22/23/24)

First of all, before yesterday Lee Soo-ho was meeting acting president Goh. One of the main points of the talk was our, migrant workers issue. During the talks Goh said that he knows about migrant workers problems and that the government is also not satisfied with the current situation, especially they noticed the failure of crackdown and EPS. So they want to advice Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labor and Immigration Office to meet with KCTU to discuss the matter more deeply. Goh suggested that this meeting should be happen soon. He also said that the government under his leadership is interested in a peaceful solution of the crisis and that he want a better relationship with KCTU. Summed up said, if Goh and the government mean it really serious, than the outcome of this talks – in contrast Roh Moo-hyun even don¡¯t wanted to talk with our delegation some times ago – is not so bad. On the other side: crackdown will continue. So we have to see what brings the future. One KCTU¡¯s report from the talks with Goh you can read here.
The day before yesterday (04/03/22) also Hankyoreh reported about a meeting with Samar in Yeo-su. The article you can read here and here another from before yesterday.
Before yesterday we had the first closer contact with our new ¡°inmates¡± (ÇÑÃÑ·Ã). It seems that they have now their first contacts with migrant workers since ever. During a meeting we introduced ourselves and when the writer of this lines mentioned that in the year 2001 he visited Pyeongyang/DPRK, you only were able to hear UUUH¡¯s and OHOOOO¡¯s¡¦ Yesterday for the first time they participated on our night rally, even short before we declared in one speech that we don¡¯t care about the current political games in the ruling class, the impeachment of Roh. Maybe with some time is passing we will have a better contact with them and they¡¯ll understand our position.
We already wrote about the great work LabourNet Japan ( LNJ, under ùÛ国ªÎï×Üà you'll find the contributions about us) is doing for us and very funny: yesterday one of the activists of LNJ visited our struggle site. We know each other now since more than 3 month, but only we met us in the Internet, so today it was the first time to see and speak to each other. Really great!
Another great development: since the end of last week one activist of Struggle and Rice (ÅõÀï°ú ¹ä) is teaching our comrades - most of them are speaking mainly very well Korean (in sharp contrast to the writer of this lines) - Han-geul (Korean alphabet)!
